Dr Kallie Shaw has strong interests in antenatal, paediatric, lactation and women’s health; sports medicine and musculoskeletal conditions. She ensures patients are involved in making decisions that lead to successful management.
Dr Kallie Shaw comes to join us at Gladesville Medical as a GP Registrar in February 2021. A keen sportswoman, Dr Shaw completed a Bachelor of Science (Exercise Physiology) with Honours in 2009 from UNSW, then completed her post graduate MBBS at Wollongong University in 2013. Dr Shaw continued her training in the South Western Sydney region, working at Liverpool and Fairfield Hospitals, before moving to work at RPA, Westmead Children’s and Concord hospitals. Over the past 7 years, Dr Shaw has developed a wealth of experience in Surgery (General, Orthopaedics and Plastics/burns), Critical care (Intensive care and Emergency) and general medicine.
Dr Shaw comes to general practice, as a member of the RACGP, with strong interests in antenatal, paediatric, lactation and women’s health; sports medicine and musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr Shaw is acutely aware of the impact a patient’s understanding of their medical condition and plan for treatment can have on successful management. She takes significant pride in ensuring that her patients are informed and part of the decision making process.
Away from work, Dr Shaw has 2 young children and enjoys outdoor adventures with her family. She is as keen a competitor on the basketball/netball court as she is over a board game while also enjoying a quiet moment with a good book and hot cup of coffee (however rare these moments may currently be!)
Dr Kallie Shaw consults on Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm and alternate Saturday from 08:30 – 12:30 pm. Visits with Dr Shaw will be bulk-billed.
